A Motley Sisterhood of Pirates! BOOK TWO (Part Eleven: Blog Fifty-Nine)
By Dan Watt and Taylor Norris, co-authors of the Rita Walker series
Master Jo Anne sees the glint of a telescope from the enemy ship. The holder of the telescope shouts out and points in the direction of the Cannibal. “Caníbal! Caníbal!” a number of enemy sailors cry out.
Arrows fly towards Melinda. The Cannibal shows that she’s more than percieved, when she dances away from the onslaught.
“Ready!” Master Jo Anne hears Alejandra shout out.
The girls with bows fire as the stronger girls toss grappling hooks. Other girls get ready the boarding ladders.
Holding a knife in her right hand Master Jo Anne hands her bow to the nearest girl. As the girls with bows continue to fire, she climbs across the ladder and leaps onto the deck of the enemy ship.
“Dizzying Blade” is already there. Master Jo Anne sees her erupt into a blur of movement. As “Dizzying Blade” twirls, stabs, and slashes, with a katana in one hand and a dagger in the other, Master Jo Anne decides to stay out of her way. Unfortunately, that sends her into the path of a much larger opponent.
